Legal Question in Insurance Law in Illinois

My parents had a fire and they stayed with me for 28 days even tho they signed a lease on a home furnished thru homelink reasons being didn't have a fenced in yard we asked for thatI had to put up a temp fence for 3 dogs, the hot water heater computer was faulty had to be fixed ,dryer came with no vent and had to wait for gas company waiting for furniture and the necessary things to live on. I want and believe am entitled to money that would of been paid to a hotel if I didn't live down the street as a convenience. Insurance company Hartford which is my mothers insurance we chose not to use we used Messinger and Michaelson as are adjusters etc. Agent was pissed from hartford b/c we went with M&M, very immature hangs up on you, been trying to get this settled for 5 months now to no avail. Do I have a right and am I entitled to payment?

you need to consult with M&M as they would have better first hand knowledge on the status of the claim. they are probably working on a % and i would think they would do everything reasonable to make sure hartford pays what it is supposed to. good luck.
