Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois
I was asked to perform quality control which was orally agreed upon that included the following duties: Inspection, reporting, and quality scanning(using a scanner to ensure all components ordered ared shipped). I have been asked to perform duties outside of this agreement that cross into other positions which pay differently, and if not followed would result in disciplinary consequences.

This depends upon if you are subject to a collective bargaining agreement (union in the workplace). Your union would be the best source for an answer. If you have no union and you are employed "at will" (no fixed period of time) your employer can change your job duties at any time. If you don;t like it, your recourse is to quit.
