Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois
I have seen my boss buying and using drugs in the office.
He often has unauthorized guest in the building including his mistress. Now we are a TSA freight forwarder and this is a violate that has several penalties.
He has been caught once by TSA giving access to unauthorized personnel and only received a slap on the wrist. This behavior continues to happen and has only gotten worse.
I have caught him having sexual relation in his office with his mistress. He has told me when his wife or the managing director calls and asks about this woman I am to deny her being here if I want to keep my job.
I have even caught him playing with himself. He uses a wireless card instead of going though the server to avoid being caught looking at inappropriate things on the web.
There was a trailer that was stolen from our parking lot that belonged to one of our clients. Today he had one of his guest in the office and they were talking about how his brother just got a new trailer matching the description of the missing trailer.
I have no proof if it is the missing trailer or not.
I need to know what steps I need to take to protect myself as well as my job and the companies best interest.

You raise numerous issues. If this behavior is so blatant, why has the company not already taken appropriate action? Also, you don't mention whether you are a female. If you're a female, the boss's action could create a hostile work environment on the basis of sex. My best advice is to seeks assistance of counsel experienced in employment matters to help create a strategic plan for how to address all of these issues while pritecting your interests.
