Unless you have something in writing, it is your boss's word against yours. Also, if you do not have a contract guaranteeing employment for a definite time, your company can terminate you at any time, for any reason, with or without notice thereby making the issue of the raise moot. However, if your boss promised you a raise and specified dates in the future in which it would go into effect, you might have an argument that he promised you employment for a fixed period of time. In either event, you should speak to an employment attorney.
