Do you have to be a U.S. citizen to qualify for FMLA benefits?

I'm not aware of any provisions in th FMLA that require U.S. citizenship. A company is allowed to hire only those employees who are legally authorized to work in the U.S. It is presumed that an employee who qualifies for FMLA (worked for the employer for 1 year and 1250 hours) is lawfully allowed to work in the U.S.
