Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

I believe the company I work for just violated company policy. Today 7/21/2010, The company was in the process of terminating me but it had'nt been approved yet from upper management. Well today the approval of termination was determined and my supervisor accidentally emailed the info to my co-workers via email. Would this be a legal issue? Everyone knew before I did about my termination and was very embarrasing and unprofessional. This is not a small company but a large technology company.
