Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

My employer has a Hit list of people they dont like if you make a comment on face book your next as I have been told. I was even told that if I go above my direct supervisor Ill be sorry. Can I leave and get unemployment. It is so bad there. they are really treating people like garbage and when you dont comply with there threats you get fired.

Under the circumstances you describe, I do not think you will be eligible for unemployment if you quit. However, companies that discipline (inlcuding termination) employees for speaking out about working conditions run the risk of violating various labor laws that protect employee concerted activity.
