Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

Exempt and Non-Exempt Employees
I would like to know the laws on "exempt and non-exempt employees, i.e what consitutes each and how they become exempt and non -exempt. What each is entitled to as far as overtime. In general a description of each is what I am looking for.
