Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

I am a home medical transcriptionist and i am also an employee of the hospital, not an IC. I have a Letter of Agreement from my employer that states, "Transcriptionist will be available to transcribe reports pursuant to the mutually agreed upon schedule set forth in appendix A, which may be revised by agreement of the parties from time to time." Appendix A lists my hours that i work which are 7-3:30 Tuesday-Saturday. Just recently they changed everyones schedules and, I was put on a different shift that I did not agree to. When I brought this up to my supervisor and manager I was told that they would just change the contract, which they have not done so far. Can they change my hours without my consent or is this a breach of contract?

A breach of contract claim depends upon a re4view of the contract as a whole. Generally, an employer is free to change the terms and conditions of an at-will employee's work environment. You would benefit from a review of your entire agreement.
