Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois
My job has had a bed bug problem for a couple of years now. I'm a new hire and part of their policy is that anywhere that bed bug activity is spotted that employee has to get their home inspected and sprayed. The company is paying for it but my issue is that I live in a house with five other tenates with two dogs (who would all have to clean their spaces and vacate for the afternoon) and this inspection is a huge inconvenience to them. They've flat out told me no, it's too much hassle on too short a notice. My job however as part of their policy will suspend me without pay until I get my home inspected and I was told refusal could lead to termination. Because THEY have a bed bug problem! Is this at all legal?

What an unpleasant situation you are in. Bedbugs are very difficult to eradicate. Not sure if you have a cause of action against employer for firing you (if that happens) but you might have something against the roommates.
