Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

My salary is primarily commission-based contract and we mutually agreed to reduce hours yet my boss now refuses to show me profit-sharing reports. How do I know if I am being paid fairly? If I investigate and found to be "overpaid" according to my boss, is she entitled to recoup monies after I leave the company and file a claim to force her to show profit sharing reports?

I don't follow how you get from an agreement to be paid commissions to demanding to see a company's "profit-sharing" report. If you didn't agree--when you agreed to accpet commission-- to what records you are entitled to, your employer is at liberty to provide what records they want to or don't want to provide to you. You should know that in Illinois, earned commissions are treated as wages so if you file a complaint with the Department of Labor, your employer will be then required to turn over certain records pertaining to your commissions.
