Re: Statute Of Limitations

Hello -

In Illinois an employer or prospective employer

will always be able to see a felony conviction,

unless the person with the felony obtains a pardon from the Governor of the State of Illinois. A misdemeanor can be expunged from a person's record 2 years after the conviction. So it is not a question of a statute of limi-

tations, but the extent to which past offenses can be erased from a person's record in the system based upon their classification under the law; felony/misdemeanor. I will be happy to answer any additional questions that you might have.
