Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois
i was terminated due to my so called attitude. i was having some problems with a co-worker and i
addressed it with my manager and was told to ignore her and to inform the manager when it started
effecting my work. i informed my manager that it was starting to effect me and nothing happen. i
place a complaint and still no results. that co-worker had sent an email out stating i cant count
or read and i tried to talk to her about it and it didnt go over so well. they offered me a job and
then turned around and fired me. i had no other issues besides that one co-worker. can they let me
go like they did?

Unless you had an employment contract, a collective bargaining agreement, or the termination was based on discrimination against a protected class, your employer can terminate you for any (or no) reason. Likewise, you can quit for any reason whenever you like.
