Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

I have been on unemployment since September, 2009. In December of 2009 I got a part-time job and worked a total of 2.3 hrs that month. In January, I worked a total of 9.4 hrs and quit the job because they kept sending me home and weren't letting me work the entire hours that I was assigned. It was an inventory job and I worked at a total of 4 stores between December and January. The money I made covered my gas and tolls to get to the job. In error I didn't let unemployment know. Now in October, they are saying there is a question about my eligibility for unemployment because i quit this job and I have to have a phone interview. If they decide I'm not eligible, will they make me pay back my unemployment pay all the way back to January? I am taking my early retirement as of November so staying on unemployment is not an issue. I realize unemployment can file a civil suit against me. Can they freeze my checking account or deduct an overpayment from my social security?

I would strongly suggest having counsel at this phone hearing. I have done extensive work in this area and I'm happy to help.
