Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois
I work for a 11 billion dollar company. I am a commisioned sales rep. I am still being paid an unrecoverable draw.
My question is based on a sale made. The commissions should be in the range of $50,000 annually for the life of the three year contract the client signed. However, the organization decided it was to large of a program to handle by myself and decided to split it with another sales rep. The company also decided, against my will to split my commissions with the other rep. Over the life of the contract, it means that they are diverting $75,000 of my earned income to another rep that had nothing to do with the sale.
Can they do this?

The answer depends upon the written documentation and oral discussions you may have had (and can prove you had) with your employer. Since so much money is at stake, I would strongly urge you to speak with an attorney who is experienced in these types of matters.
