I work in a grooming salon. Is it ok for my employer to audio record our conversations without our knowledge?

For a variety of reasons, the answer is NO. However, you must have knowledge since you know about it. You really need to provide more details to get a more accurate answer. For example, if the employer disclosed its surveillance program in the employee handbook and you consented to it by working there and not protesting then the recording could be lawful, if confiend to certain areas and not done to interefere with rights under labor laws.
