Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois
i work in a medspa that did a prepaid coupon promotion. when a client came in she was not able to receive her treatment due to the fact we did not have the right equiptment. i rescheduled her. when she came in for her appointment the doctor/owner took her coupon and was going to charger her. she said she couldnt because she already paid. then the doctor took the money from my paycheck to make a point to not reschedule patients. so now no service was performed and he has the money from the coupon and my paycheck. do i have any options

Yes. The deduction you describe is clearly in violation of Illinois law. Not only has your boss' conduct demonstrated bad employee relations skills but it has violated clearly established law.
