Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

I work for a purchaser of precious metals at a kiosk for an hourly rate - no commission; no bonus. He is accusing me of buying fake gold and silver and is asking me to reimburse him in the amount of 2,038.00 (the entire purchase was over 5500.00) Am I obligated to pay him back for that?

If he sues you civilly, the answer is maybe. There is no black and white answer and the answer depends on the specific circumstances of your situation. As I mentioned in the other post you made about this situation, what he can't do is deduct this amount frm your wages.
