Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

I worked in Davenport, Iowa during the year 2008, and have outstanding unpaid wages (nearly $3k). The owner closed the building in 2009, and his only residence is in Illinois. Can I sue him in Illinois small claims for unpaid wages in Iowa?
