Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois
i have worked overtime at my job and was told by my employer that they will be taking my 4 hours of overtime away from me. How is this even legal? please help me to understand the laws for unauthorized payroll deductions

If they make a deduction from your payroll check for the amount of the alleged overtime, they will be making an illegal deduction. If the overtime was legitimate they will also be violating various state and federal wage and payment laws.
