Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

I am attempting to get my security deposit in the amount of $462.50 back from my landlord. He first asked to keep it as compensation for my late notice to not renew the lease. This is not covered in the lease, so I asked again for the deposit. He then changed his mind, telling me that he had to hire cleaning services to clean the tub and would be willing to return $200. Also you should know that the lease was split equally between me and a friend. My friend already received his deposit back, so even if he could get money for the cleaning, I am only responsible for half of the cost, yet he wants me to pay all of it. His claim for all of the deposit and then part of the deposit both occurred more than 60 days after I moved out at the end of the lease. Am I correct in my thinking?
