Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
In the contract of the building we lease for our organization, the landlord is responsible for removing snow/ice from the parking lot. If someone should fall in the parking lot when there is need of cleaning or is inadequately cleaned, who would be at fault ?

The existence of a contractual obligation only creates the duty. The injured party still must prove that the breach of that duty was the proximate cause of the injury. The contract does not presume liability as such.
