Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
I was up to date on my rent and 5 days into the next month, but hadn't paid rent yet. While I was not home my landlord moved ALL possessions from my home and left them on the curb. Due to this, I lost almost all my things from people picking through them. I was served no eviction notice and no court order to vacate. There were no illegal activities going on in the home, etc. Is this legal and if not, how can I recoup my losses?

You can sue to get back into the apartment if you have a written lease, and you can sue for damages. If you had insurance you could see if your policy covers the loss.
