Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
I am being evicted from my rental home.The landlord gave me a 30day notice last week n I don't know if she filed for eviction by the courts yet.she wants to come in with the city inspectors next week...although I don't want to let them in because I don't trust them...can I refuse them entry?..cook county il.

If you have a written lease it should say what the landlord's rights of access are. Even without a lease 2 days' prior notice is considered reasonable. Of course you can't be locked out, at least legally. But locking yourself in may not work either. And refusing entry could on its own be grounds for eviction. Depends. See an attorney - you may need one anyway for the eviction.
