Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
We recently moved in to an apartment that is infested with bedbugs. we notified the landlord and she sent someone to fumigate the place. we just dont feel comfortable living here anymore, so we would like to know what we can do to break our lease, should she return our deposit, and if she is obligated to help pay for our damaged furniture.

Bed bugs are a difficult menace to be completely rid of. Your landlord is required to keep your apartment free from bugs, pests, etc. And your landlord could be liable for any and all damages you may have sustained including personal injuries and well as damage to property. We have successfully represented plaintiffs in bed bug actions and we would be happy to speak with you.
