Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
Tenants Right
I am currently renting a 2 bd on month to month. As I paid my rent this month I was given a 30 day notice due to the landlord has lost their home and needs to move into my unit. What are my rights in this situation? Do I have any rights or do I need to make plans to move within 30 days?

Re: Tenants Right
If it is a month to month lease, then either you or the landlord only need to give 30 days notice. There may be other reasons you can stay depending on your situation, but the best you will do is delay. I recommend looking for a new place.
