Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois

Towed from my own driveway

Please respond asap. More time could mean more money.

Wife and I have had car for couple months. Most of that time been in shop. Brought it home to trailer couple weeks ago. Live in trailer park, Carbondale, IL, will be replaced with apartments in summer, when contract ends. Unable to pay high rent, will be homeless. Trailer park contracts service to tow cars with no sticker. Told us when we got new sticker don't worry, we're among few in park, towing won't be enforced til apartments built. Had sticker, but not yet on car. We're in violation. Last night, after 11, car towed from driveway. 625 Illinois Statutes 5/4-201 requires those towing noncensentually to post sign w/max tow charges. Sign on premises indicating not tenant=tow. Does not indicate charges. Car backed in space, tower left towtruck, walk to back of trailer to find no sticker.

Any way to get vehicle w/out paying SOB $?

Sounds like you have issues - not only does the tow company have to post correct notices but the park owners must post a notice to warn tenants of potential tow at least 7 days in advance. Also, I am not sure how they entered private property without permission.
