Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Illinois
poor treatment
i recently took my son to the er, and at this paticular hospital the doctor glanced at him and then poorly attempted to look into to his eyes, ears, and nose while he was wigging, and by it looked he didn't get a good look. did not feel his head did not look at the rest of his body and told me he was fine after he just got struck in the head my a boy that at least 100lb on a swing with a powerful momentum. i confronted the doctor of the lack and poor job and proceeded to laugh at me and asked me if i was a doctor. i was very upset and left and actually went to another er where they stripped him head to toe cleaned his ears ,and nose to see inside, and felt all over his body for any fractures. i thought very seriously about writting a formal complaint. several weeks later i helped someone catch thier dog and got bit in the hand. i went to the same H. where they did not properly clean my wounds. they cleaned one punture wound and didnt even notice the other one,and both have healed poorly. i insisted that they did a better job, and i also waited there 3hrs for the doctor because the nurse told me i had to wait for pain meds which they never gave me. i work in the medical field and this is very poor care. what can i do?

Re: poor treatment
Hello. In my opinion you may have a lawsuit against the hospital. If your hand has not healed, you may be able to pursue the claim of negli-gence. On the other hand the rudeness
that you experienced when you took your son to the same hospital is not a
basis for a lawsuit. Both cases are
"outside cases" which means that neither probably would amount to much of a claim.
