JAG help

my boyfriend is trying to get out of the NAVY. he is gradually becoming unstable and asked to see a counselor but they cannot see him for another month. would JAG be able to help him chapter 13 out? is there an option of him getting discharged with benifts? and will getting discharged hurt his ablity to get a job in law inforcement or as a detention officer after he is out of the NAVY?

Re: JAG help

If your boyfriend has any hope of getting a job as a police officer or a corrections officer when he ends his tour, he has to stay in and get an honorable discharge under honorable conditions. If he is discharged as being "unstable" (to use the word you used) I would think that few police departments would hire him (he could always apply at Blackwater).

There is no quick and easy way out of the armed services that preserves your right to benefits. If you take the easy way out, you almost always wind up regretting it. I would urge you not to let him go down that road.

Anything worth doing, is worth doing right!
