Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois
While staying at a hotel, i was exiting the pool area and mistepped off a curb and injured the right side of my foot. i thought it was just bruised and it would go away. my foot stayed swollen for 2 days and the pain continued. i did not seek medical attention until i returned home. my doctor did an xray and the it was determined i had fractured my baby toe. can i sue the hotel?

How was the hotel responsible for your misstepping off a curb? In order to bring a lawsuit against the Hotel, you will have to show that your injury was directly caused by something negligent the Hotel committed--and your theory of liability should pass the giggle test.
Based on what you have written, I don't see a cause of action.
Dear Sirs,
Please call our office so that we may discuss your rights in detail.
Premise liability requires certain elements to be met; we would need to speak with you to determine whether the landowner can in fact be held responsible for your accident.

Sure, you have the potential for a lawsuit if there was a defective condition on the premises. Please provide more facts.
Even if you found out you cannot sue, or if you choose not to, you can also have the hotel's insurer review your case and your losses, including any medical costs, to see if they will cover your out of pocket loss, if any.
