It was in the contract that that the insulation was to be removed from the attic due to racoon dropings and this was never done. What can we do now?

Call the contractor back. If you paid in full and didn't inspect, however, and the contractor is not on the up and up, you may have a problem.

It is not clear from your question, but it appears that this may be related to your purchase of the real estate, and the contract to which you are referring is your purchase agreement. If this is the case, you may be out of luck, since generally, all matters are deemed to be "merged" into the deed that was presented at closing. You should contact the attorney who represented you in the real estate transaction to determine if this is the case.
