Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois
I have a home in Illinois and was directed by military orders to Hawaii where I'm living in government quarters. I'm looking to refinance my home in Illinois, where I will return to live in 2012. Can I still consider my home in Illinois as my primary residence (I am not renting the home and our furniture is still in it - i.e. it's not vacant)? What are the qualification requirements for declaration of a primary residence when directed overseas by the military? thanks.

Where your driver's license or state ID is.
Which state you pay income taxes too.
Where you intend to live after discharge.
Where you were living before you went on active duty.
PS - you're not "overseas". You are in the USA.
