Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Hello,

I live in Round Lake Park Illinois. I just received a ticket in the mail for " No Display of Current Vehicle Sticker." The ticket was written at 9:42 am on Monday 2/8/10. I keep my car in the garage at night and must have just pulled it out into the driveway to warm up before leaving for work at 10 am. So, My question is: Does the Officer who wrote the ticket have the right to come onto my property and closely examine my vehicle? Also, shouldnt they have left a copy of the ticket? Thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerly,

Despina Pafralides

Yes and no. I suggest that you purchase the current sticker and show your receipt at court. Usually, they dismiss these kinds of tickets.
