Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I think i might have been scammed by an individual...Is it illegal for a mortgage company to sell your loan to different lenders and also is it against the law for a mortgage company to charge you interest on a loan if they never gave you a check to take to closing for your downpayment at closing

It is not illegal for a lender to sell your mortgage to another lender, it happens all the time.
