Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois
If my ex- Wife owns half the house and I live in it and pay all the bills. When I sell will they cut two checks for the exact amount of the profit?
OR will they cut one check and we will have to divide it up?

How many checks is totally unknowable. The seller/seller's lender will probably write only one. I would imagine that the title insurance company will write checks according to the instructions the court gives.

Normally, the title company will follow the instructions that you give to them. Do you need an experienced real estate attorney?
