Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
My 17 year old son received a speeding ticket over the weekend. It is his second speeding ticket in two months. He is scheduled to take the traffic class next weekend. We live in Illinois and he has not had any other violations given to him. What are his/our options? Thanks!

Your question does not give us enough information. Did he enter into a plea bargain in which he received "supervision" on the first ticket? If so, then most state's attorneys are not going to be willing to give him the same break again so soon after the first one. Still everything depends upon the facts. It might be that the second ticket is in some county where the first ticket would not matter. Hire an attorney to find out what, if anything,l can be done for your son to avoid a conviction.
