Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
I currently reside in Chicago, IL, have a current MI drivers license, and there is a possibility my IL license was suspended for not doing an emissions test. I want to request an abstract in order to find out the current status of my IL drivers license. If I go to a sec. of state branch and there is a warrant out, will they call the PD and/or impound my vehicle on the spot. I want to clear this matter up but do not want to add to the problems.

The police will not be called if you request your abstract and a Sec. of State office. Your car will not be impounded at the office either by the staff.
