Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

revocation question

I went and tried to apply for a Texas DL today, and my name came up on the NDR. It was from Illinois, where my DLs are being held (revoked). This is due to a DUI. Now, I plead guilty to the dui back in 2006. I did not go to trial, I took the State Attorney Offer, which was a guilty plea, etc. Now in this letter, I received back in '05. It did not say that my licsense would be Revoked...only suspended! I also did my (court) requirments the letter stated. My licsense were eligible for reinstatment in 06', however, they can't be reinstated without a hearing. I moved to Texas in 07, the hearing, i did not do before moving. I ended up doing an out-of-state hearing, and got denied. My question is- should I go with a lawyer? go through this process over again - (just to be denied again??). In order for them to take my hearing serious, should I just hire a lawyer...??? I live in Texas..I don't think this would still be an issue had I been able to do everything in person. Appearently, there is no way I can get a (work) driving permit nor liscens since I live in texas - and I haven't found any help from anyone on how to get the IL Sec. of State to clear my DL, or at least grant me some type occupational or restricted one.

Please visit the following websites:

and

The second site is about a book I have written that explains the reinstatement process in Illinois.
