Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois

Revoked License

I am from Illinois and was working in Panola County in Carthage, Texas. I was involved in a car accident late one night and left the car and went to pick it up the next morning. It was gone, so i went to the police station I was ticketed for leaving the scene and excessive speed. I believe are 2 class C misdemeanors Which resulted in 1 month suspension and $200.00 dollars. Which I paid. When I got back to Illinois my Mom put me on her insurance and we found out I was suspened. We went to the DMV and Illinois said I was revoked for thee yearsbecause there was personal injury involved. There was no personal injury. Texas even states that when I call there. I having a heck of a time getting answers. As I stand I cannot because I need a vehicle for my job and I want to go to school.

Re: Revoked License

I believe that the office of the IL SOS has a mechanism to appeal their decision. It goes before a Hearing Officer at the local SOS. Go to your local SOS office and see how you can appeal the IL decision. GOOD LUCK!
