Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
summons for parking tickets
I received a summons to appear in court for parking tickets from the years 1991-2000. The amount claimed is 1430.00. If I go to court, what are the chances that I would have to pay the full amount? Is there a statute of limitations on these? What is my best option to reduce this cost?

It would be difficult to prove that you are not responsible. You could try to work out a deal with the authorities to settle for a lesser amount. It depends as to why they were not paid. There is no statute of limitations of which I am aware.
