Legal Question in Traffic Law in Illinois
Traffic
My 16 year old son with a drivers permit was stopped riding his dirtbike home from his friends. He was issued 4 tickets. 1- no valid registration..2- no permit on person..3- did not use hand signal..4 - no insurance. This is an 80cc pocket bike. My question is do we have any legal ground to stand on in fighting these tickets and is it going to hurt him in obtaining his licenses? Thank you for your time!

Re: Traffic
If he violated municipal ordinances, county ordinances orstate statutes, then therre woould be no defense, but he should still hire an attorney to defend the charges if possible or negotiate a plea bargain to avoid convictions.
