veterans benefits
my initial claim for disability compensation was denied,stating no evidence to support my claim was found,not found because there are no records dating that far back?(1978-1980)or not found,so does that not also not disapprove my claim,and let current medical records speak for themselves

Depending on the branch of service, there are usually records available of your military service. Locate yours and see if they provide further information. Also, work with one of the Veterans groups such as DAV or PVA to assist you in refiling your claim.
