no will left behind
my father passed away in 2007, but there is no will and his wife stood with everything. do i have any rights as his only bilogical daughter

You have rights in his assets as well as his wife. You need to speak to an attorney in your jurisdiction to determine the amount. This situation is known as intestacy and state law of Illinois, the domicile would control the distribution of assets.
