Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

My father passed away 3 years ago and left everything to my brothers, but my sister is the exectrix. None of the taxes on the primary property has been paid and now the legal fees to clear up the estate and other bills are mounting up to be more than the property value. Can an estate go bankrupt and if not is the exectrix responsible?

The executrix has a fiduciary duty to the estate. Find a lawyer and see if there is anything to save. Good Luck.
