Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in India
My uncle was murdered in 1997, in 2002 session court hearing judgement was "Life time imprisonment" but the killers appealed in Gwalior High court ...Under which category it would have been (petition, contempt etc) . I want to find the details of case....

You have to approach the registry of High Court with the details of sessions court viz. names of the accused persons and the Sessions trial No. and the date of judgement and the name of court and you will get the required information easily and if the appeal is pending then you can engage a lawyer to assist public prosecutor. Nature of Case shall be Criminal Appeal
