Legal Question in Business Law in India

Hi,

I had a credit card which got lost in transit. I had sent an e-mail on the same night asking them to cancel the card. 2 days later, I received an alert message for transactions. Immediately I called the customer care after which the card was blocked. I have sent them mails and have had conversations numerous times but there wasnt a proper response. They have sent the chargeslips now which clearly shows a signature mismatch. But the bank still wants me to pay for the disputed transactions and have also levied interests for the entire period though I have told them that am waiting for a reply from the senior management. The collection agents have also started speaking in a rough tone. Please advise as to how to proceed further.

The " terms and conditions" vary from bank to bank as regards lost cards.

It is possible that you are NOT liable to pay the amounts at all depending

on agreed terms.

Consult lawyer with details of your emails, credit card statements

and terms and conditions for a clear advice and avoidance of

payment on fraudulent use.
