Legal Question in Business Law in India
Does Probation period hold any significance if you have signed an employment bond?
I have signed one for 20 months. but my appointment letter does not mention anything about it and according to my appointment letter I am on probation for 6 months where I can leave after giving 1 months notice. but my employer says I cant since I have signed a bond.
So? what are the appointment letter clauses for?

You been given Appointment letter and not confirmation letter and generally in appointment letter a clause is mentioned that at the discretion of employer your probation period can be increased or decreased. Pl check if such a clause exists. If yes than 20 months employment bond is significant and valid.
