black mail from electrician.

sir i had apply to test my electric meter and a electrician came after my complent . and he said that you had slow the meter. and you pay 2 lakh fifty thousand rupee in bses company . and he want bribe 25000 rupee . and i say that i am not give money to you 25000 rupee. he said that i will do meter faulty and faulty meter submit to bses. he blackmail to me. and he was take to me 18000 rs cheque . and after cheque was bounce . i withdraw all the money from my bank. blackmailers cheque was bounce. and after six month he had sent to me court notice. now what i do?

1. You should file a police complaint against him.

2. You can also file a consumer case against BSES. He represented the company. Forcing consumers to pay illegally is an anti-consumer act.

3. Before filing consumer complaint, you should send legal notice to the company.

4. After sending the legal notice and filing police complaint, you should reply to notice for check bouncing.

5. All the above should preferably be done through advocate.

There is no legal transaction between you and said electrician.In fact it is an illegal gratification.Since you had issued the cheque so you must have to contest the case and have to prove your case.For any other query you may contact me.

agitate in the court that the there was no legal debt against you, and the amount shown in the cheque is not legally recoverable dues.
