Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
I had booked a hotel accomodation in the month of Oct 10 through makemytrip and paid Rs 12225 as an advance pending confirmation through Internet using my debit card, I was informed that the accomodation is not available and my money will be refunded back. Its 05 months now and i have been in touch with makemytrip customer service through email, but the money has not yet been refunded. They simply ask for the bankstatement which i had sent to their main office. Now they want the bank statement in PDF form or some other form to resolve. It appears that they are in no mood to return the money and they are also enjoying the interest of my hard earned money. is there any legal step available to sue the company for worst services ever and to ask for compensation. It seems that this has become a business to hold the refund and enjoy the interest out of the sum without offering any service.
