Legal Question in Consumer Law in India
Corporation water connection
Dear Sirs,
I own and reside in an independant bungalow within a small private township where there are 18 independant bungalows by name 'Royal Villas'.
I am paying seperate property tax to the corporation and hence have applied for the individual water connection.
The Junior Engineer who has the sanctioning power states that he can not sanction me a seperate connection but can sanction to all the 18 residents only.Kindly clarify and advise.
It is apparent that the builder is behind the issue preventing from sanctioning a seperate connection, but, this can not be proved.
The builder wants to have total control over all the 18 residents. The other residents also do not dare to go ahead in securing a water connection.
It is also possible that before even property tax assessment was done or before handing over the tax books to the individual owners, the builder had secured a bulk water connection without the residents knowledge/consent(there is a 3 inch sub pipe line existing within the premises)
Assumingly, even if the builder has secured the bulk connection am I entitled to have a seperate water connection from the corporation?
Look forward to your kind and valuable advise at the earliest.
Thanking You in anticipation.
